BOOK REVIEW – The Hope of Azure Springs by Rachel Fordham

This interesting book gives the story of Em, an ophan who came west on the orphan trains and was separated from her sister. Her story is one of loss, bravery and survival. Her one goal is to be united with her sister and events take place where her strength and inner beauty shine through.

Rachel Fordham is a great writer and this book held my interest. Rachel is a historical fiction writer to be reckoned with. She herself suffered a tragedy in her own family during the writing of this book. This book deals a lot with families who suffered loss, which was common during those times. Em, the heroine, comes through as a fighter and survivalist.

I highly recommend this book and look forward to seeing other books by this writer.
